Obviously, everyone here is a Borderlands fan and probably awaiting Borderlands 3, but I was wondering what type of new features do people want out of the third game? Personally, I'd like to see more indepth character/class customization. Instead of picking from one of four+ characters, you could design your own. I think that would be a neat feature. I'd also like to perhaps see a more open world for the games, perhaps with the ability to have more than four people online playing at once.
More character customization would be pretty nice, although not necessary. What I would love to see is an improved multiplayer mode with a good campaign storyline. That'd make me buy the game instantly.
A better and more in-depth multiplayer mode would be amazing, and a larger, maybe more sandbox-y world would be fun too, but I think I have to agree that my biggest hope is that Borderlands 3 might give us something more with the characters and character classes. Even if they don't let us customize, I hope they give us more options to choose from, maybe even characters that you can multiclass later in the game. I'd absolutely adore something like that!
Oh, I can only get so excited for an even larger world! Definitely agree that a more sandbox type world may be the way to go, the previous installments didn't really feel *alive* so much as triggered when I'm in the area.
Better melee weapons during endgame would be really nice. Most of the melee weapons form the previous games were good at first and bad once you get to higher levels (that or its just very challenging to play with it by then). A training room where I could practice my skills would be very convenient too, instead of trying them out on the actual game.
Designing your own characters certainly would be a neat additional feature, but for now I'm just happy to be surprised when it comes to the Borderlands 3 game.
I second those about designing characters and better weapons, although I am not sure who would be against them. I usually think that any change is welcomed change.
I think the game definitely needs the character and the weapon customization. You'd find that some of the odd places where you may need those changes. It has it's own set of the rules. I guess for that part its reasonable to have borderlands.
"Borderlands 3" may still be a long way off, but fans already have their expectations high about the highly anticipated Gearbox Software game. According to GamesRadar, there's a lot of great ways to make "Borderlands 3" the biggest game in the series. Much of it has something to do with playing with its strengths. The site believes that a little more focus on the vehicles will drastically improve the game since they are one of the most significant elements in the game. More vehicle types for "Borderlands 3" will be a welcome improvement as well as more customization options and utilizations for the selection of rides that will be made available in the game. GamesRadar also hopes that Gearbox will give players the ability to add weapons and loot or buy parts that can be used to enhance the cars in "Borderlands 3." Apart from new and improved vehicles, "Borderlands 3" is expected to introduce brand new characters to the world. Adding cool new non-player characters (NPC), which definitely give color to the game. Previous "Borderlands" are rich with these NPCs, and there's hope that "Borderlands 3" will not be any different. It is hoped that characters on par with the legendary baddie Handsome Jack will grace the "Borderlands" world in the upcoming game.
I think previous version of games had their set of the graphics issues. And if they can extend the graphics side of the game that would be good. I think upcoming borderlands updated games would have all of those parts for sure.
I wish Borderlands3 would try to implement hybrid weapons to mix things up. They could also make some weapons that are hybrids by different manufacturers, for example their could be a new weapon tier call prototypes and they be from two different companies putting in their gimmicks on one gun like a torgue-vlodof gun that is a high fire rate explosive weapon
This is true. I think everybody wants this though. A little improvement of the game would make me happy.
I could get on board with the whole hybrids weapons idea. I cannot say I can offer up any particulars or anything but I just think it sounds interesting and engaging, which is always good.
I really like slag due to weapon switching and choosing complementary guns, but I'd like to see that general game mechanic taken to another level. For example, I would like to see something like a water gun. When you hit enemies with water it gives them a "wet" status effect, which makes them extra vulnerable to electric weapons. But if you use a water type gun on an enemy that's already on fire it puts the fire out and/or makes fire weapons less useful. Then maybe you could have some equivalent for corrosive and fire, and each one compliments one, is neutral to one, and is detrimental to one. And perhaps slag could be used to further improve these effects. I also think it would be super neat if weapons had different effects in different environments. For instance, a water weapon could use water in most places, but turn into a freeze weapon when it's cold outside.
