One thing I've noticed thus far is that there are no sub-forums. I know vbulletin can have them and they make the forums traffic more filtered and pin-point. Good example would be as such: Forum: Borderlands 2 Weapons and Items Marketplace Sub-Forum: X-box, PS3, PC The forum itself would have various threads about the forum and each sub-forum would be where the users made threads to do their dealing for whatever platforum they have with more ease than having to enter/look a/for prefix (as not all users use the prefix option). Not to say the prefix option is a good tool, its just sub-foruming filters better and makes it easier for users to go where they need to go. As such, in the Borderlands 2 Weapons and Items Marketplace forums, the prefixs could then be changed to "Buying", "Selling", and/or "trading".
Sounds fair enough. However, one could argue if a "possible" new member looked at the site now, compared to already having the sub-forums, they would be less inclined to join the site. Eye candy, in a sense.
Prospective members are more inclined to join sites that are active. Having more sections means activity is divided and ultimately makes the forum appear more inactive.
I move at least 10 threads a day to the correct forum. Let's hold off on this until people figure out what goes where before we make it even harder for them.
