There are a lot of questions that users create new threads for so I figured instead of answering them over and over we should create one place to answer all of them. I'll constantly update this post as new questions come in and get answered. General Q: Where can I have most of my questions answered? First, there is a wiki for Borderlands 2 that can be found at: http://borderlands.wikia.com. If you can't find an answer to your question there, feel free to ask on our forums in the Borderlands 2 General section, one of the members of our community will be able to help you out. Q: What is "TVHM"? TVHM stands for True Vault Hunter Mode. It is basically playthrough 2. Q: Where/Who is Michael Mamaril? Michael Mamaril is an NPC in Sanctuary. He is noted for giving out blue or higher level loot as well as being part of the Tribute to A Vault Hunter achievement. The NPC shares his name with a Borderlands fan that passed away in October 2011. Michael's friend, Carlo, sent Gearbox an email requesting that a short eulogy be read by Claptrap in order to honor his late friend's memory. Gearbox also promised to include Michael in Borderlands 2 as a tribute to the late Borderlands fan. Also, feel free to ask quick questions here and have them answered. Michael Mamaril Locations: Q: Michael Mamaril has disappeared, where is he? Before Sanctuary is lifted, Mamaril has a 100% spawn rate in Sanctuary. After it is lifted, there is a 10% chance he will spawn. Keep checking around for him. Golden Keys Q: What are golden keys and what do they do? The Golden Key is a rare item that allows you to open a special Golden Chest (pictured above) in the friendly city of Sanctuary. Exactly what sort of loot the Golden Chest contains will change every time it's opened, but the loot 1) should always be of very rare (purple) quality and 2) will share the same level as the character that opened the chest. Once a Key is used to to open the Golden Chest, that Key is gone for good. Any Golden Keys you may have will be available to any of the characters you've created, so use them wisely. Q: Where is the Golden Chest that uses the Gold Keys? The Golden Chest is located in Sanctuary near the fast travel point. Q: I have mistakenly used my Gold Key, is there anything I can or anyone I can talk to from Gearbox that can help? Simply, no. However, future Gold Key will be released in the near future. DLC & Season Pass Current Released DLC's: Mechromancer DLC Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty Q: When can I play as the fifth character class, the Mechromancer? The Mechromancer has been released as a DLC on October 9th, 2012. Will Borderlands 2 receive any add-on campaigns? Yes! We plan to release four brand-new campaign add-ons features new areas to explore, new adventures to undertake, new enemies to overcome and more. How much will each add-on campaign cost? Each campaign add-on will be available individually for $9.99 / 800 Microsoft Points. In addition, a "Season Pass" bundle that includes future downloads of all four add-ons can be purchased for $29.99 / 2400 Microsoft Points -- a savings of 25% over buying each individually. Q: When will the add-on campaign content be released? Each add-on campaign will be released as it's completed, with the last scheduled to be available no later than June 2013. Q: What all is included in the Borderlands 2 Season Pass? The Season Pass includes all four planned add-on campaigns for Borderlands 2 for $29.99 / 2400 Microsoft Points -- a savings of 25% over buying each individually. It does not include any pre-order bonus items. Q: Where can I buy the Borderlands 2 Season Pass? The Borderlands 2 Season Pass is available through Steam, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live as well as GameStop. In-Game Items Q: Where can I find what red flavor text descriptions on weapons and shields mean? Here. Q: Where are all the Legendary Weapons!? Be patient. They drop less frequently than in Borderlands 1. Q: What is the Conference Call shotgun and where can I find it? The Conference Call is a legendary shotgun that is a random drop. Confirmed enemies that drop it are The Warrior. Let's just ping everyone all at once. Produces extra projectiles originating from the edge of the screen at long range. The number of projectiles increase with time the trigger is held. Q: What is The Bee and where can I find it? The Bee is a Legendary Hyperion Amplifier Shield. It is a random drop from Hunter Hellquist. Float like a butterfly... - Large amount of Amp shot damage, 0 Amp Shot Drain. The Bee gives extraordinary amp damage with zero shield draining, effectively allowing the player to use the amp damage as often as necessary, or until the shield is damaged. Raid Bosses Q: Who are the five raid bosses? Terramorphous the Invincible, Vermivorous the Invincible, Hyperius the Invincible, Master Gee the Invincible, and Crystaloferous the Invincible. Crystaloferous has not yet been found in-game and may be a future DLC release. Q: How can I fight Vermivorous the Invincible?
This is false, you can only have 2 golden keys possible max right now. Unless you got a code from Randy Pitchford, or Cheated. Yes i know, i got to level 69 with every character on Borderlands.
After farming Vermivorous for days I can safely say your section on it isn't completely accurate. There are four evolution possibilities for varkid I discovered after hours of testing this 1. Varkid will change within seconds of being engaged in combat 2. Varkid will change after being hit once 3. Varkid will change after taking heavy damage (under 30% or so) 4. Varkid will not change. After every evolution the evolution condition can change, ie a varkid that evo'd instantly might evo after taking damage instead or most likely not at all. Increasing the amount of players in the game reduces the chance the 4th evo condition will occur. Out of 4 vermi kills 2 evo'd off heavy damage, 1 off of one bullet and 1 changed 10-20 seconds after hatching from super.
How does lvl 50 work? I was wondering how beginning enemies like captain flints men are level 50 in videos? is there another game mode unlocked after true vault hunter mode? or does it just happen automaticly? also do chests contain your level items when u turn level 50 or do they stay 30 ish....if not how can i make everything level 50 even chests, beginning enemies, drops ect
Delayed response, but after True Vault Hunter Mode is completed (killing The Warrior again) all enemies are scaled to level 50 and above. All loot at that point should be the same as your level, 50.
Does completing Optional Mission Objectives actually do anything other than count towards the challenge for completing them? I've always tried my damndest to complete them, and for the most part have, and haven't really noticed anything special happen. What's the deal?
Its supposed to give you extra and better loot when you turn it in. I myself have not really noticed anything special or tried to see if it really does give you extra exp/money. Thats just what I remember it said in the tutorial when you start a new game.
The only thing I've noticed happen when you complete Optional Objectives is, if the objective is to kill a certain enemy or kill them in a certain way, that enemy will have a higher chance to drop unique/high-rank loot. That's about it.
the quest reward is what usually gives you the gun. Like in the mission Rakkaholics Anonymous you dont get anything for it until you go to moxxie or Mordecai and turn i in. (you get the sloth sniper or Miss Moxxis Rubi)
