texture packs

I recommend Sphax Pure BDCraft. It is one of the best texture packs out there.

 

I'm looking to start playing on my pc. What should I download besides the actual game? What texture packs/mods are good to start with for beginners such as myself? I know the concept and like what I can do with minecraft, I just want to know which direction to be pointed to when it comes to all these mods and textures out there.

 

Original Sphax texture pack - http://bdcraft.net/download-purebdcraft-texturepack-for-minecraft Anything other than the 16x download requires optifine or MCpatcher to be installed.

Technic Launcher (has multiple modpacks that automatically install) - http://www.technicpack.net/

Tekkit Lite texture patch for sphax - http://bdcraft.net/forum/128x64x32x-tekkit-lite-smp-050-addon-pack If you install this you need to have it match the texture pack. 32x will only work with 32x etc.

I don't use Texture pack. I like the default one and use Optifine to have a better graphics.

 

The first one that I ever used was Doku's RPG Texture Pack I think. But now I just stick ot classic because it causes a lot less lag.

Regular photo realism texture packs i like the most, especially with shaders

 

I don't use texture packs that much (mostly shaders) but when I do I use Sphax's, a really cool and different resource pack.
