Was there something in the game that really attracted you to it? Was it the characters? The story? Or did you just pick it up out of pure interest and just got into it?

I just pick it up out of pure interest and just got into it. I heard about Borderlands on the internet and I decided to play it out of curiousity and I loved the game.

I was watching a walkthrough of Borderlands 2 by one of my favorite Youtubers, and thought to myself " hey, I could actually play this " and so I did.

I am certain that Youtube played a role in my coming around but I am not sure how much exactly. I know my good friend go me hooked but I cannot remember how much was Youtube driven versus just seeing it played.

I think both the story line and the characters are what have drawn more people into playing it. They are okay.

I was already playing other games so I was just looking for another game that I haven't played before and that's when I came across borderlands.

A friend of mine recommended it once and I later decided to get it and the rest is as the say, history.

To be honest, I cannot exactly highlight what originally got me into Borderlands. I was at a friend’s house and he was playing the original Borderlands. I was bored and he made me play Borderlands and the rest was history. Roland was my favorite in the original game and he was a pretty hilarious character saying things like “Awww! You know that hurt” whenever I got a critical hit in-game.

A very good point there. Somebody should research the correlation between games recommended by friends or family and games currently played and see how much it impacts a gamer's preference:D. On a more serious note, I probably would have found Borderlands at some point because I remembered a few years ago, Steam had a Borderlands promotion running for almost 4 months straight. I mean everything you clicked on in Steam, the Borderlands deal would pop up(mind you - this was the most annoyiing pop-up ever).

That would be interesting to look at @killamch89 but at the same time pretty tough to measure I suppose. I bet there are some clever ways but then you wonder who would pay for it to be done. Either way, maybe someday.

This Borderlands 2 game is very entertaining and has some very in-depth characters like Tiny Tina and Handsome Jack, also this game has a way of being humorous as well - and loads of weapons.

And also to break the boredom. You can't survive working 24/7 without playing even a single game.
