Your favorite adult beverage? I don't drink very often, but I'm very depressed and out of my mind for my own reasons, so I'm pretty drunk tonight. My drink of choice will forever be high quality straight bourbon. Among my favorites: That I would actually purchase myself: Maker's Mark Buffalo Trace Jim Beam - 7 yr. aged Jack Daniels That I would buy if I was a high roller: Anything from Willett distillery. My father is a connoisseur of top shelf bourbon, and I shared a 15 year aged one from this fine, yet very small batch distillery. If I'm not drinking this I'm a sucker for a very hoppy IPA. Anyone else want to weigh in on this?
You should try the 7 yr. straight. Straight, no rocks/no mixer IMO is truly the only way to enjoy bourbon.
I used to be the same way, actually. I quickly discovered that it was because I was drinking bad, cheap liquor lol
Dirty bird(tukey 101) and sundrop. Shadow I highly recommend it for a mixer if you can get it. I like some makers mark and evan williams every now and then. I'm same with the beer, I love me a good IPA. I'm huge into microbrew beers.
I'm a big whisky fan too. If is really good whisky I'll drink it neat, if its middle rung maybe like a few ice cubes in there. I like: Blanton's Knob Creek Jameson And usually anything from local small batch distilleries I'll drink any beer from bud light to specialty 22 oz beers, since its winter I seem to drift torwards the big imperial stout beers. Also, I'm not a smoker but some friends recently introduced me to the simple pleasure of smoking fine cigars, which pair well with any quality beverage.
I don't drink alcohol in any shape or form, mainly because i am under the legal age. Even if i could legally drink, i probably wouldn't, because most alcohol drinks taste awful to me. I do actually like cider. Bulmers and Magners are common brands of cider in the UK, both of which are actually quite nice. I prefer pear cider over the more common apple cider, but both are nice. Anyways, i'll extremely rarely drink alcohol. Usually, the alcohol in my house is Budweiser or something similar and i can't go to the pub for a drink for obvious reasons. I'll just stick to my pepsi, thank you very much.
I drink very infrequently. I'm one of those people that likes to operate at full capacity as much as possible, which is why I caffienate multiple times a day and generally stay away from alcohol. The times that I do drink are usually when I am playing with one of my rock bands at a bar. Rock music requires a certain outward personality on stage: moving with the music, interacting with the crowd, and rocking out hard. A drink or two takes the edge off of this (I'm an introvert by nature, so it helps me loosen up) but never any more than that. I've been in a few situations where I've had one to many at a show and turned into a beginner the second someone said "tequila shots for the band!"
Let's see: Beer- Budweiser and PBR are my favorites. Bud and Clamato are outstanding too! The Chelada mix is really what brings me nice and relaxed after working hard or hardly working. Also its really good with seafood. I really don't like 'Light' beers. The only ones that I'll drink are Coors and Bud. Alcohol- Disarano on the rocks is my top. No coke, no mixer, just like it straight. If its vodka its Greygoose along with either cranberry or pineapple juice. Has to be specific juices too. Oceanspray for cranberry and Dole for pineapple. I also like Ciroc with different mixers one being Sprite. Harder things that are very good are Crown Royal and yes on the rocks. No mixers with that. Ruins the taste and point imo.
