http://planetside.station.sony.com/ I recommend you at least try it. It's only 1GB and given that it's 10 years old now, your PC should be able to run it. It's only Free to play for 6 months. After that, they will be looking into making it a true F2P game.
Many people prefer PlanetSide 1 to 2, and given it's low graphical fidelity, many more people have machines capable of running it. Unfortunately for me, there's only a NA server so when i went on, barely anyone was playing.
