It would appear that PS dominated the show this year at E3. I was just wondering, how many people are jumping ship?

I wouldn't say they dominated the show. They left out a lot of important details, like what is their stance on used games. I'm not sure why the Xbox One is getting so much flak when it can do pretty much everything the PS4 can and more.

I just feel the PS4 being a hundred dollars cheaper, not having to have the camera plugged in to play, and not being able to play offline more than a day in row is a win for at least the battle. I hate the fact that I have to have Internet to play. If money gets tight down the road and I can't afford Internet, I cant play.
Yes some of the games look awesome and are exclusive titles. I'm not sure yet if any if them are going to be enough to keep me.

PS4 definately looks more promising as it stands. The one major negative i found to the PS4 is that you have to pay now for PS plus if you want to play online but if you still get all the PS+ benefits with free games every month (and not free games like xbox one where you get games worth £5) then i believe £45 a year would be payable.
I would still rather spend my money on upgrading my PC than buying a console, but if i had to choose one, it would definately be PS4.

The internet requirement is definitely something that needs to go and will probably get cracked pretty quickly if it stays. As for the Kinect, if you have that much of a problem with it, just cover it up. The Xbox One being $100 more is due to them forcing the Kinect on us, but that also allows features that the PS4 won't have.

I can't say I agree with some of the things with Microsoft decided to do, but it definitely isn't worth buying a PS4 over an Xbox One IMO.

I can all but guarantee that once the sales numbers are too low M$ will come out with an update making the kinect requirement useless. I love my xbox 360, but i will most likely go to the PS4. I have both the PS3 and Xbox 360, but I do not see myself buying both of these, not until the price goes down on the Xbox 1.

I like the Sony PS4 video about sharing used games. :)

I would almost prefer having the console continue to require the disc even when the game is installed. From reading that article, I would be willing to deal with that as opposed to it being online all the time. It seems like that's why the console will be always online.

That being said, they do need some way to check to see if your account is legit. Maybe they could have an app for smartphones that allows you to log in, verify your data is legit and get back to gaming. It wouldn't be a big deal to hook your phone up to your Xbox One, have it run a scan, and then play. Just like blowing cartridges on the N64.

I think Titanfall looks badass(i just wish it wasn't published by EA) and the idea for TV integration is cool. They just need to realize that this is a game console and that they are selling to people that play video games, not people that just watch tv and movies.

I think as far as the used games thing goes, I think we have don't have to worry about Microsoft as much as EA. The majority of the online pass stuff is from EA. If you ask me, that is the company that will want to charge alot of money for used games and then discontinue support for them after 6 months(Crysis 2). Or they will start charging for game endings(I bet it crossed their mind for ME3's extended cut).

I think there is a workaround for what they are trying to accomplish for an always online console, but it would be alot easier just to make the console require the disc to play the game.

As far as the kinect 2.0 goes, if they fuck it up, it will make them look really bad. Especially since they pushed that technology.

After reading this I am less torn. I do really like the sound of being able to just share games with ten friends. Maybe I jumped the gun but now it is closer to 50/50 when last week i was %100 PS4. I have been a die hard xbox fan since they originally came out. I have always prefered there controllers and didnt care how bulky the original was. I dont know who will get my money in the end, there is still a lot to think about.

I feel like the biggest reason that I am gravitating towards jumping ship to the PS4 is just how Sony seems to be more focused on gaming. Xbox seems to be trying to do too many other things now. When I turn my console on, it is to play games and MAYBE watch Netflix. To me Sony has my money so far purley based on that.

If you have a gaming PC, then hands down PS4. All Xbox exclusives will be crossed onto Windows 10 at the same time. So really not point in owning a Xbox if you have a gaming PC. Putting that aside, I still think PS4 is the better of the two up to this point. All cross platform games have run better on the PS4 and they are getting what feels like more exclusives.
    Just my two cents.
