When every game can be played on PC. It is easy to play console games on PC using emulators. I am really surprised that why people spend so much money on buying console while they can play all types of games on PC.

Roms for emulators are illegal if you don't have the game, and playing online with them can be a bit problematic. There are honest players who wants to buy their game, or players who prefer a console and don't want to build a full new PC which can be pretty expensive.
Also, there is no way to play PS4 and Xbox One games on PC, since there isn't a single fully working emulator.

I've been thinking about getting a PS4 lately, because I've had the urge to play Playstation exclusive games for a while, which you can't emulate on a PC. The Last of Us, Dying Light, Horizon: Zero Dawn all look like phenomenal games, but I haven't had the chance to play them.

Those will most likely get shut down when the owners of the intellectual property find them. If they become popular, they will be easier to find.

This happened with Blizzard, even though they don't even support the original game any more. They still shut down the biggest server (emulator). Yeah, I know that WoW is a PC game, but the principles still apply.

I have always wondered why some game makers don't make their games available in both formats though. I figured that pleasing the console crowd and the PC gamers = bigger audience = more money... or is it too hard and/or expensive to design games in both formats?

I think there's virtually no PC on which all PC games can be installed. The PC may fall short of disk space or memory, or may not have specs that qualify it to install every PC game on it.
If there exists a machine with specs that qualifies it to install all PC games in the system at the moment, then just a select few can afford as it will be extremely expensive.

I think it is totally waste of money to buy a console while you can play all kind of games on the PC and you don't need to buy an individual console for each game. You can upgrade your PC anytime you want and gaming is really amazing on PC if you have good quality controllers.

"all types of games on PC". Hardly. There are not much games that would run on full speed using PS2 emulators, and we've only recently had a PS3 emulator out. But currently we're still missing a Wii, PS4, and a lot of other emulators for the modern consoles. It also takes a processor that is twice as powerful compared to the console being emulated.

I really don't see the need to go for console since I can comfortably and conveniently play any game I want on the PC. With PC game I won't need all that connections to the computer or TV and also I can easily just update the game to enjoy any new version.

People are much more comfortable with consoles I guess. To put together a PC that is able to run every game available you'll need quite a considerate sum of money and for some people that might be too expensive. Consoles are really cheap nowadays as well.

I think buying a console for every game may be an expensive venture. However, getting a PC too with all the features necessary to run any game at all you want, also goes along with more money.

So whichever way you look at it, it's money-consuming. But I think relatively, PC gaming is cheaper.

Because there are games only exclusive to consoles like for example uncharted which is only exclusive for PS4 gamers and there are also other games exclusive for xbox... Also, not everything is available in Emulator especially new games. Would you wait for 2 or 3 years for the game to show in emulator if you can buy the game today?

At the end of the day it all comes down to preference. For some people it is just easier and more natural for them to play on a console. I am one of those people, I just prefer console because it feels easier and a bit more convenient.

I would say it depends on the situation and relativity-like sitting on the couch is very comfortable when you are gaming with a console device. I think though games are brighter and they make more games for the PC as well these days- don't forget about all the cool Mods out there for the PC as well. I would go with what works for you though because this argument could go on and on?

Not all the games are worth playing on PC. Some of the games are worth it on console too. I think some games like say sports games are good on console. And in some cases where you need keyboard short-keys. Those kind of games are easier to play on the PC.

Because people have different preferences when it comes to playing games. And not all games can be easily played on the PC just like on the console.

I think it depends on the type of computers. There are some computers that do not support some versions of the games until some special features are installed, which tend to be expensive. So maybe we have to advise those buying PCs to make sure they go for those which support all games.

In my opinion, nowadays all kind and all titles are available to play on PC. So there should not be any reason to not play games on PC. I have more than 100 games on PC and I really enjoy to play these. It is very easy to upgrade the hardware for gaming on the PC. It is an easy task to fix the bugs too.

I love to play games on PC rather than a console. It also depends on availability. We cannot carry our console with us every time but we can keep our laptop with us. I have a gaming laptop that works perfectly for the games. I don't think so that everyone wants to play games on the console.

Exactly. This says it all. I would really prefer playing on a gaming console.

Well i think it depends on the player, when i was a kid i love console gaming because i can bring it to my friends home and there we would play all day with free snacks. But through out the years, i turned into a pc player because its so versatile and i could do my work and play at the same time.
