We here at the borderlands 2 forums are one big happy family!! But why should we limit ourselves to the world of pandora? There's an entire universe of gaming worlds out there to explore and we may as well do it as one big happy group! That's why i'm saying that we should make B2F groups, or 'clans' on several other games to share new gaming experiences with familiar, friendly faces. Not only that, we can spread the world to other vault hunters about our humble forums. I have already made a B2F clan (or platoon, as battlelog likes to say) on MoH warfighter for the 360 - http://battlelog.battlefield.com/mohw/platoons/show/4503608217418873/ We can spread these clans across gaming consoles and games alike to ensure we can have a overall more enjoyable experience. For me, the more people in the game you know, the mire fun it is. At the end of the day, games were made for fun, so lets do exactly that! Senior member Redferrari1998
That sounds like a cool idea, I play mostly on PS3 but I'm inheriting an Xbox and getting Borderlands 2 as a gift on Xbox so before long I'll play on both consoles.
These games are ones i think we should make communities/groups/clans on Warfighter - Xbox already set up, PS3 and PC still needs a Platoon Battlefield 3 Minecraft - Both PC and XBLA Planetside 2
Even though its a loved or hated game, black ops 2 is a huge multiplayer game and should be added to the list.
COD is a huge team game when you play competition. Personally i think its more of a team game then the rest, and i would love to debate this
I also find this hole thread a bit angering as i tried to do this same exact idea in a smaller dose and got shot down. I made a B2F team for borderlands 2 (the actual game this forum is based on), and made a post like ferrari's(tho i was little more aggressive with my attempt). So i made a website to give a visualization of what i was trying to do. i just think its funny how i can mention something like this a month ago and have it never be talked about. I guess i just needed a more popular member to bring it up for it to be taken seriously. Note my post was taken down because they considered it to be advertisement but i don't see the difference between mine and ferrari's(except that i posted mine under General discussion, figuring that is where it would go).
Its all about who is on when the thread is posted bro. I have seen a lot of good older post that never got picked up. I mean we already have a three man team with various fourths coming in. imagine what we could do with a whole team that plays constantly.
Let me rephrase that. It has multiplayer but you are perfectly capable of joining a random game and running around solo and doing just fine. It is only once you start getting into the higher ranked games that team play is required. Games like Battlefield 3 and other squad-based games it is nearly impossible to get anything done with no teamwork.
Not sure who took it down but it wasn't me. What you did wrong with yours was redirected people to another community site instead of using an official site (like the battlelogs thing red linked) or the Social Groups function our site already has.
Well i play BF3 by myself so not sure if i follow you on that one but yes COD can be a solo play without a problem, that is not the way i have ever played tho and i think its a bit unfair to rule it out instantly, just seems like you dont like the game tbh.
Thank you all I ever ask for is to be told what i did wrong with my attempt. I feel like i never get any feedback with my ideas. Some maybe horrible but they will only get better if you guys were to actually give me some feedback on them. I do not think that is to much to ask. I just got my panties in a bunch when i seen the same idea posted and you were all for it. Note that 2 weeks before i posted the B2F clan website i asked you guys in a pm and all i got was ask jsmith. so i did and then jsmith did not reply to me. So i posted for more of a visualization of what i was trying to do. Another thing is Borderlands 2 has no official website for clans, so what should have i done there(thought creating a website would be the next step then)?
well if we branch out to other games will we end up making different threads accordingly? say i.e. we started playing army of two devils cartel and looking for people within this forum, would the admins make a thread or topic especially for that game? idk...i'm a little confused at the moment... anyone up to making a diablo 3 clan? if they even have those =P
I'm all for adding additional sections in the off-topic forum if thats what you guys want. I've already added one for Minecraft. Just add a poll in the off-topic section and if you get at least 10 votes (subject to change) I will add a section for that game.
I enjoy the game. I just get bored of the competitive multiplayer. There hasn't been anything innovative since CoD 4. The point I was trying to make is this. CoD may be a team game but teamwork is optional not required like it is in BF3. You are more than welcome to set up a poll/petition for a CoD section and I will gladly set it up if you get the 10 votes.
