    *GASP*

It's that time again. The time for Gearbox to patch alot of things that don't need to be patched.

I regret to inform you alot of things are getting patched.......

Here is a list for your reference:
    http://support.gearboxsoftware.com/e...ix-Information

    The most noticable blows are:
-"Addressed an issue allowing the treasure room to be re-entered multiple times after defeating the Leviathan."

Well, the Treasure Room Glitch has been Patched. So no more Treasure Room Looting videos with either Masterkizz and MorninAfterKill.

-"Addressed an exploit where clients could dupe items in a trade duel."

This is probably the worst thing for them to patch. Especially since it has taken them so long to do so after the game has been released. It's definitely a mechanic that many(if not all) players used to greatly help with drop rate issues.

Well, maybe Borderlands 2 will have an economy now.

-"Added safeguards to better protect players against hacked items and weapons -- invalid items will now be automatically removed from a player's inventory."

    AND

"Addressed an exploit that could allow players to increase their skill points beyond intended amounts."

The first is basically a safeguard against items that could be modded into the game with gibbed but would save in your Backpack when you save and quit. An example would be a pure explosive Norfleet(Norfleet is Maliwan, All Maliwans are elemental).

On the worst(or best depending on how you feel) end, Modded weapons could be done away with entirely. Meaning no more Black Weapons, Shields, etc.

The Second I believe deals with a Gibbed trick which allows a player to max out all of the skills in the game to create an overpowered character. Another unfortunate loss.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    My thoughts:

I can deal with the treasure room being patched, what I really don't like is the possible end of duped items. That was such a great way to get gear. Now everyone will have to Dashboard dupe their gear.

As for Modded weapons, I think it's lame simply because alot of Borderlands 2 players mod the game to find out the best Barrel combinations for their weapons. While I don't play with modded gear all the time, I don't think they should hinder people that do want to.

It's just a shame that they perceive it as that much of a problem now. To bad.

    About:

"Added safeguards to better protect players against hacked items and weapons -- invalid items will now be automatically removed from a player's inventory."

This now eliminates the use of 99% of modded weapons. Weapon making is pretty much done now. My original assumption that the bank would still allow you to store modded gear was false.

All of your modded gear/weapons will be destroyed upon loading the game whether they are in Backpack, Bank and ClapTrap's safe.

I've been thinking about the information I've provided to you this post and realized something. These posts about the Compatability pack are all negative!

There is ALOT of good news about the new pack. Here it is:
-2 New Bank and Backpack storage upgrades.
-1 Ammo Upgrade for each gun type
-No more Lockouts for Raid Bosses! Solo them anytime Offline and Online!
-Warrior now Slides into the lava after the Moonshot!
-Drop rates have been increased for enemies over level 61!
-Bunker no longer can get stuck when killed!
-Saves the player's vehicle skin choice so that it doesn't have to be re-chosen in each new play session.
